MASCULINE PLAID...

Cards with a more masculine design receive extra kudos...

When I cut the squares out of the Adventure Bound Designer Series Paper, the edges looked a little frayed, so I lightly sponged with ink from the Basic Black Stampin' Pad for a more finished look...

 

Plaid, especially with masculine colors, works well for a manly card, and can be used for many different celebrations...

RUSTIC GATEFOLD...

Cards made into the GATEFOLD pattern

are a nice variation from standard folds... and super easy!

To add a little more of the Old Olive color, I'll wrap the yarn trim around the card before slipping it into the envelope. 

The tree and "wood" paper worked well together...

FATHER'S DAY...

With several major holidays and special events on the horizon, I've spent extra time in my craft room stamping up a storm. Here's a rugged and masculine card I made for Father's Day...

Note the realistic screw head. I used the 1/2 Circle Punch on Brushed Silver Cardstock, then scored the top with the Simply Scoring Tool and sponged the edges with Crumb Cake. It totally looks real doesn't it...

I positioned the sign a little crooked on purpose...

Please pardon the fact that I used a stamp from the Delightful Dozen set that retired last year. It was perfect for this layout and I couldn't help myself.
