FOR THE BIRDS...

Designing cards with the FOR THE BIRDS STAMP SET kept me quite entertained today. My creative button was in the ON position, so I let my brain take the lead. At first, the snowflakes on this Designer Series Paper seemed a bit lifeless, but my creative self knew that by adding dimensionals they would float in the air, like snowflakes really do, coming down-down-down to the ice skating rink...

HONEY-DO LIST UPDATE...

I've had an enjoyable week. Presenting my husband, Jim, with a card-a-day, Monday through Thursday, definitely got his attention. This morning when we went out to breakfast, he talked about the projects that were a priority for him. (It's always good when he is doing the talking.) We ended up at Lowe's Home Improvement and bought 12 Arborvitae! They were marked down from $24 to $12. (Awesome!) Here's a photo of the Lowe's guy loading them up in our truck...

Throughout the past few days, Jim drilled and hammered and trimmed all kinds of things. It was a good week! I've pictured several Honey-Do projects from my Pinterest Page. Notice the toilet! A couple of months ago, he bought two, and had them installed by a plumber. Keeping in mind that ALL GOOD THINGS TAKE TIME, I will be happy with the accomplishments of this week, and won't be impatient about what will get done tomorrow.

He liked the cards and loved my sweet attention.

Just a spoon full of sugar helps the medicine go down,

Can you get your husband to go clothes shopping? I can't! He really dislikes going to the Mall. So in this HONEY-DO CARD, I'm doing some sweet-talking by inviting him to dinner and a movie. (The movie theater is at the Mall.) Are you following my drift?  It wouldn't take long to walk past Macy's on the way out. See where I'm going with this plan...

Have you seen that commercial on TV where the guy Duct Tapes the broken refrigerator handle, and then the light fixture, and then the cabinet doors, and a few more things in the kitchen? At the end, everything falls apart all at the same time! That tickled my funny bone and motivated me to make this card. We don't have things Duct Taped around our house (except for this card), but I knew it would get my husband's attention...

No chores written inside this card. Just mushy stuff.

HONEY-DO LIST (2)...

Today's HONEY-DO CARD includes a sweet reminder to my hubby that his power drill would be just the ticket to tighten up a few loose screws here and there... 1) My stamping room swivel chair is not swiveling too well... 2) The newspaper box on our front gate is a little wobbly... 3) The hanging bird feeders need to be reinforced due to squirrel strikes!

It will make my day to get those things fixed!

I HAVE A PLAN... This week I will give my hubby a card-a-day with a subliminal message pictured on the front, and a sweet hand-written note inside thanking him in advance for taking care of some things on my HONEY-DO LIST which (oh, by-the-way) has been neatly typed and posted on his bulletin board for several months. Today's card is about putting on his work boots and planting some new trees in our back yard...

I'll keep you posted on the success of my plan!
