On 02/21/14, my post was entitled HELLO SPRING and I received this special note from Ginger Rabesa in New England... "Spring in New England is across the street, over the hill, down the road and took a bus to somewhere warm. More cold days in the forecast!"   Ginger, you made me laugh!  (And I found your blog by searching your name on Google.  It's awesome!)

DETOUR AND OOPS...

The making of this card included a

DETOUR and an OOPS or two along the way...

Here's where the DETOUR came in... I started with the more modern version below, but decided it needed a vintage twist!  So I started over and ended up with the card above. Much better, huh!

Here's where the OOPS came in... When using more than one Designer Series Paper pattern, I always try to use paper out of the same package (for simplicity and CASEing). But after making the final card, I realized the DSP was out of two different collections and I didn't want to start over again!  

And to make matters more complicated... I used two different stamp sets... (I should have just used the "thank you" in this set!)

HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY...

 

My Stampin' Bear, MR. STAMPY, sends his love to you today!

I received Mr. Stampy when I attended the Annual Stampin' Up! Convention in 2009. He won my heart from the very first day. I brought him home on the airplane (not in my suitcase, but in my arms). At the time, I thought about tucking him beside my bed pillow, but decided hubby would wonder about that. So I planted him in my stamping room and he's been there ever since. Mr. Stampy sits on my desk, smiling away, watching over every single blog card I make for you.

There's a whole lot of reasons I love being a demonstrator, and one of them is receiving all kinds of love from Stampin' Up! like my Mr. Stampy!

 

VALENTINE CARD...

I ran out to my stamp room to make a quick VALENTINE card. It only took about 10 minutes and turned out clean and simple... and sweet!  I love it when that happens!

BURLAP FUN...

There's still a ton of snow outside. Here in our neighborhood of Salmon Creek, we have around 9 inches, which is 9 inches more than we've had in two or three years!  But enough about SNOW!  I finally made it home and want to show you my BURLAP PROJECTS...

SNOW STORM...

We are in the middle of a big snow storm here in Southwest Washington. Hubby and I are at our daughter's house now. It's so cold outside and so white and so beautiful!  It has been years since we've had this much snow!!  Burrrrrrr!

I'll have to finish my BURLAP POST when things get back to normal.
