BLOSSOM PETALS PUNCH...

The picture caption in the Occasions Mini Catalog says this about the Blossom Petals Punch... "Create all the flowers you want in all the colors you love with this punch."  Today, I decided to give it a try...

Blossom Punch-1

I also used the Fancy Flower Punch and cut the petals open a little...

Blossom Punch-2

Gently curl the petals with your finger or a pencil...

I'm always eager to recommend PUNCHES as a practical, economical purchase.  I can envision so many options for this large blossom petal... How about slicing it to make a palm leaf?

ISLAND FLORAL - JUST FOR YOU...

I'm off and running with my hubby today, but first, I spent a little time in my stamp room to make a card (just for you) before leaving...

Island Floral-1

I trimmed the leaves a little, then scored them...

Island Floral-2

The Victoria Crochet Trim

is one of my most favorite embellishments...

Island Floral-3

This Island Floral Bigz Die is one of the dies on pages 206 and 207 in the Idea Book & Catalog.  All these rule-based dies, are ideal for cutting thicker materials like wood sheets, chipboard, window sheets, magnet sheets, and cork sheets.  So the die sliced through the Designer Series Paper above just like butter.

Oops... He's looking at me now, so I'd better scoot.

I'm planning to have a great day...  Hope you are too!

PETAL CONE DIE UMBRELLA

APRIL SHOWERS BRING MAY FLOWERS... Isn't this the most perfect way to start the month of April... with a pretty paper umbrella!

Outside Umbrella

Oh!!!!  (Squeals of joy!)  I LOVE MY BIG SHOT!

Big Shot

HERE'S HOW:  (1 Cut four sets of papers with the Petal Cone Die(2 Use Sticky Strip to assemble each section but leave the last one open.  (3 Make a little pattern like the one shown below.  Mine was 3-1/2" long and rounded on the end.  (4 Use a pencil to trace the shape on each section.  (5 Cut on pencil lines and discard leftovers.  (6 Assemble final seam - BUT - overlap one section so you have a total of seven sections.  Eight might have worked, but it seemed too big.  (7 At first I used a paper straw with a glob of Mini Glue Dots to attach the "handle" to the inside top of the Umbrella.  But then I scored matching paper and made a handle that I liked even better.  (8 Embellish to your heart's content.

Ruler

I've had conversations with many of you who want the BIG SHOT in a big way! Why wait any longer? There are dozens (no, hundreds) of fast and fun 3-D things you can make for all the special occasions in the life of your family.  If you live nearby (Portland, Oregon / Vancouver, Washington metro area), I will hold an awesome BIG SHOT workshop for you and your friends. Check out the Idea Book and Catalog on pages 204 through 217 and you'll be inspired to contact me so I can help you plan a fun party to include a DYNAMIC BIG SHOT DEMONSTRATION!
