FOUR FRAMES STAMP SET

I attended a Stampin' Up! business training event last week, and participated in a Make-n-Take.  We were told that the ideas for these cards were borrowed from other creative stampers, but no names were available.  If you are the original designer, let me know and I'll post your name right here so you can receive the credit.

Okay... I just received an email from Sandi MacIver.  This Four Frames card "Friend" was designed by Sandi and she offers a tutorial for it on her blog HERE.  Thanks, Sandi.

A PERSONAL NOTE FROM ME TO YOU... I wouldn't want just anyone to know this, because I seldom complain... but I wasn't crazy-in-love with the Nursery Suite Specialty Designer Series Paper when I saw it for the first time.  (Or the second or third time...)  But I decided to buy a package, and was surprised at how much I liked the die-cut paper.  And, I'm a big fan of DSP with small prints (also in this pack).  Suite Papers are sweet indeed!

TIMELESS QUILT PATTERN...

The motif of interlocking wedding rings goes as far back as the fourth century.  When I look at the Lattice Bigz Die, I see that pattern...

EASTER BLOSSOMS STAMP SET...

Wherever you live in this big wide world, you're probably ready for better weather and SPRING!  We've had a steady flow of rain here in the Pacific Northwest, so I made a card with colors of spring, hoping to hurry the season along!

 
This spring flower is kissed with a hint of sunshine...

 

HERE'S HOW TO MAKE THE FLOWER:  1) Cut the flower from Whisper White Card Stock using the Fun Flowers Bigz L Die.  2) Sponge the edges with ink from the Daffodil Delight Stampin' Pad.  3) Run petals through the Perfect Polka Dots Embossing Folder.  4) Curl the petal edges with your fingers or a rounded object like a pencil.  5) Pierce the center and position with a brad.

HERE'S A TIP:  The Sending Springtime Smiles greeting fits in the 1-3/4" Oval Punch shape.  To make a larger outline, glue stamped/punched greeting onto a coordinating color of card stock, and slowly cut (freehand) around the edge.  Now here's the real tip... To smooth the edges to perfection, gently sand around the outside of the cut oval with a Sanding Block.
