...Continued from yesterday's post...
Today's card, made from brand new Designer Series Papers, is more like the colors here at home in the State of Washington....
Colors of home are greens (because it rains so much and everything is green) and blues (like the ocean and rivers and sky). All these places are an hour or less from where I live!
Don't you LOVE the colors of this paper!
So remember...
If you would like to take a vacation in a very beautiful place, come to Washington and be sure to plan a stop at my house. We'll get acquainted - and then we'll stamp, of course!
I know I've been teasing you a little with new stamps and papers you haven't been able to purchase yet. (I've received the funniest emails from so many of you.) But GUESS WHAT! On Thursday, the 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog will be open for business! In the meantime, you still have one day to take another look through the retiring catalog to make sure you haven't skipped over something really-really good!
Remember to call me for any of these reasons:
- To say hi...
- To order a brand new catalog...
- To place a last minute retiring product order...
- To book an "Across The Miles" hostess workshop...
- To become a hobby demonstrator and receive a 20% discount...
- To become a career demonstrator and receive much more...
- To talk about your trip to Washington!
At midnight (just a few hours ago), hubs and I flew home from Texas. Here in the Pacific Northwest, we've had a cold, wet spring. Now, after three days of Texas heat, we're feelin' fine about the soggy weather here.
In the meantime, I made this card for you... with a new stamp... new papers... new ink pad... BECAUSE, as you well know, we're just 2 days away from welcoming the new catalog and all the new things in it!!
It's all subtle... The colors... The traditional layout... The lightly embossed background... The barely watercolored pears...
WELL! It can't be bright colors everyday! This looks more like Texas! Ahhhh... Tomorrow I'll make one in the colors that looks like Washington... Any guesses out there?Love Ya! Really I do!

Since time began (or so it seems), Grandma has worn an apron, unless she's at church, of course. Here's one I made with pretty papers and bright ribbon to add to her collection...
Granddaughters wear her torn and tattered aprons proudly, and cherish those with white ruffles and handmade stitches, carefully tucked away in the big antique cedar chest.
I'm sure Grandma will like this apron card. I wonder where she'll hide it - and who will find it - and when that will be...
One thing I do know... with the exception of a few things like her aprons, Grandma has not accumulated earthly wealth. Her treasures are in heaven - and her heart is there also. Matthew 6:19-21.
First, a big thanks to Chanda Stehlik for sharing the idea of this card. I loved it the minute I saw it! Now, let's have some fun... Both these cards are made with new colors in our 2010-2011 Idea Book & Catalog coming in just seven (that's 7) days! Can you match the names with the colors?
And here's one more group of colors...
- Blushing Bride
- Cajun Craze
- Cherry Cobbler
- Concord Crush
- Daffodil Delight
- Early Espresso
- Marina Mist
- Pacific Point
- Pear Pizzazz
- River Rock
...How'd you do?
WEBSTER'S: xy-lo-phone a musical percussion instrument consisting of a series of graduated wooden bars struck with small, wooden mallets. (#116309 Wood Sheets)
Thanks, Chanda. I'd say we were very harmonious today!
