Simply Scrappin' Card Kits for Cool Kids
HERE'S HOW
1) Separate the Simply Scrappin' Kit into two identical stacks to make the cards for each kit... (3 pieces Textured Card Stock, 2 pieces Designer Series Paper, and 3 Self-Adhesive Die Cut Sheets).
2) You will also need to set aside 1 piece Textured Card Stock and 1 piece DSP for each kit to be used for the boxes and lids.
3) There will be 1 extra sheet of DSP leftover for another project.
4) Kit contents pictured above are listed here...
5) To make a matching designer box, score your 11" x 9" Textured Card Stock along the 11" sides at 2". Score the 9" sides at 3-1/2". Cut the 3-1/2" score lines from the edge of the paper to where it meets the perpendicular score lines as shown in the photo. Fold the box along all score lines and assemble. (It is easier to punch the ribbon hole in the box front before you put it together.)
6) To make the box lid, score your 5" x 7" piece of Designer Series Paper along the 5" side at 1" and at 3". Attach to the back of the box along the 1" scored side. Round the front corners if desired. Embellish box lid and box front with punched circles and Die Cuts. Punch hole in center of circles and thread ribbon to the inside of lid and box. Secure ribbon with knot on the inside.
7) Score the cards in half (with the natural grain of the paper), then lay all 12 cards out and place the 3" x 3" Designer Series Paper trims as pictured but do not glue yet. I do everything in an assembly-line method because it goes so much faster. See how I've placed the DSP with 3 striped and 3 printed squares on each card color, slicing and dicing some for special effect. Organized variety is the spice of life. Now glue them on. I use Dotto!
8) Here's the fun part... Decorate your cards with the snazzy graphics from the Self-Adhesive Die Cuts. Peel and stick to your heart's content!
