JUST FOR YOU ON FRIDAY...

I love ending the week with this card.  It makes me happy and cheers my heart.  One reason I like it so much is that BLUE is my favorite color.  Can you tell?

To make the 3-D flowers, use your Scallop Circle Punch then cut little slits as shown.  Carefully lift each petal with tweezers for the final touch... 

I use the Patterns Designer Series Paper often because it is available in 14 popular colors.  Also, the prints are small which is my preference when making cards...

RAZZLE-DAZZLE...

My local (cherished) customers visit my blog regularly and then show up at my classes excited to see the cards in real life!  They not only want to see them, they want to make them.  So while designing cards to share on Polka Dots and Paper, I also consider how they would work in a class setting...

HANDMADE CARDS OFFER EXTRA TLC...

At our church, the weekly bulletin always includes a list with names of friends and acquaintances who need encouragement for any variety of reasons.  I love being able to send handmade cards, and always believe each of the recipients love the extra TLC that handmade offers...

 

What I've heard over and over, is that my handmade cards get saved or put in a special basket or passed along to someone else.  The gratitude can't be measured.  It's such a nice feeling to know you added a bit of cheer with a more personal touch...

LOOKING AHEAD TO MOM'S DAY...

Most years, our kids, grand kids and some extended family, come to our house for Easter dinner.  But this year, after church, we all met at the Heathman Lodge for brunch.  There were enough of us that we had our own private dining room, and all the fabulous food we could eat, for a price of course!

It was so great to gather with family, and of course MOM was in heaven (not literally - but figuratively), because we were all together, and with her!

As we look forward to the next holiday which is Mother's Day, here's a pretty card made with the Tulipe Bigz Die and a little bling-bling...
