A VERY SIMPLE CARD KIT...

A friend called (at the spur of the moment) and asked me to meet her for lunch.  I wanted to take her something special because I knew she needed a lift.  I had no time for stamping so put this simple little card kit together.

I LOVE CARD KITS.  This one is made with the Note Cards pictured on page 168 in the Idea Book & Catalog. I can't wait to show you the kit I've made (WITH BUGS) for the Royal Blog Tour on April 30th through May 3rd.

HOW TO MAKE DELICIOUS CUPCAKES...

This yummy cupcake card is perfect for a youngster or an oldster...

Picture1

To make the chocolate frosting, I punched the 1-3/8" circles out of Chocolate Chip Card Stock and covered them with Crystal Effects.  After they dried for a couple of hours, I placed them into the "paper bake cups" and topped them with cherries punched out of Melon Mambo Card Stock, dusted with Dazzling Diamonds.

Picture2

Fortunately, I'm not a chocoholic even though these look good enough to eat!  (I have a full-time day job for a candy broker and am surrounded by chocolate all day everyday.  But I only succumb to it once-in-a-while.  If you'd like to know what I do there, contact me and I'll sweetly share. It's fun and fancy but has no calories!)

MY CREATIVITY IS ON A ROYAL ROLL...

After choir rehearsal Wednesday evening, I dashed home and made this card. It went together really fast and easy, which is not always the case. But the past few weeks, as I've started preparing my projects for the April 30th to May 3rd Royal Blog Tour, my creativity has kicked into high gear. I just love it when that happens...

1

Envelope too!  Ummm... Ummm... Good...

3

My favorite design feature on this card is how the paper pieces are beveled (below), fitting together in a mitered corner. (I learned that word from my husband.)  The bottom corner of the card is mitered also, even though barely seen in the picture...

SPRING STAMP CAMP...

Here's our Spring Stamp Camp in pictures... (This flyer was used for our advertising.  Each demonstrator participating had one with her own name.)

Spring Stamp Camp-L

There was a friendly greeting at the welcome desk...

Picture1

Plain name tags were turned into pretty name tags when all the stampers cut flowers with the Big Shot...

Picture2

And for many stampers, it was the first time using the Big Shot... (Neat idea, huh!)

Picture3

Customer service tables were available in one area, and project tables in another... (With such a nominal registration fee, stampers were enthusiastic about placing Sale-A-Bration orders.)

Picture4

Several displays were enjoyed by stampers.  Here's one...

Picture5

And the refreshments on this table were all eaten by the end of the day...

Picture6

There were 15 stamping tables (5 projects x 3 tables each)...

Picture8

Demonstrators and customers enjoyed the day and each other...

Picture7

Come back tomorrow and I'll show you all five projects!

A SNEAK PEEK...

I'm having a SPRING STAMP CAMP on Saturday, and here's one of the cards.  But mum's the word because I haven't shown it to anyone yet...

Picture1

To make the frame, use any of your templates (you probably have a dozen like me), and pierce holes around the inside edge... Neat, huh!

The flowers and sparkle trims are from the Eggcellent Eggs Kit out of the Mini Occasions Catalog.  There are 12 sheets for only $9.95, an incredible buy.

Do you have Mr. Chocolate Bunny yet?  He is sold as a separate (must have) stamp!  I can't tell you or show you anything else quite yet...  It's hush, hush until Saturday!

There are 55 pre-registered for Saturday's Spring Stamp Camp at Hillcrest Church in Vancouver.  But I can always make room for a few more.  I even packaged some extra project packs.  So call me quick!  360-936-2030.

THIS AND THAT ON TUESDAY...

It's cheerful and pretty, even without being stamped...

Picture6

Oh dear!  Only three more months with Melon Mambo!

C1

The every-half-inch score lines add a finished background surface.  And don't you love the Scallop Circle Punch piece chopped in four pieces...

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

When my order was delivered today, I was once again impressed at how popular Clear-Mount stamp sets are!  Out of 27 stamp sets purchased by my customers last week, 25 were Clear-Mount.  Practical Storage is just one of the desired benefits.  Here I stacked 25 of my (old) Wood-Mount sets side-by-side with 25 Clear-Mount sets...

. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .

HERE YE... HERE YE... I've been chosen to be a princess!  Can't wait to tell you more later on this week.  Keep watch!
